Another day at Bozo Beach and again the search for the right point for the take off.
It is pretty difficult to get the tricks here… I mean the local guys a ripping like hell but all the boys from the Pkra, inclusive myself, struggle in these conditions. I hope that I can get more used ton these specialties of Bozo into it the next days so that I can show all my stuff at the event.
I have to feel it…

Yesterday we had a really nice day La Boca. We kited the whole afternoon because it was sooo perfect. La Boca is such a good spot for training. Just think about the perfect spot, make it a little bit smaller and put a tree in the middle… thats La Boca. I took my 9 and sticked a lot of cool tricks. My dad filmed most of the time and so I hope that we can make a video of my trainingsessions. I tried also to film from a helmetcam - let’s see, who it worked.
Some pics are in the gallery. The quality is poor, as they are screenshots from video but they show a littel bit the conditions in La Boca.
Today I will kite here in Bozo to get more used to the difficult conditions there. Most of the Pkra riders allready arrived and so it will be cool to be out on the water or sit on the beach and watch the latest tricks.

A pretty cool day…
First I had a Session with my 13 at Bozo Beach. The wind was light but I’ve been able to do some nice tricks and also kiteloop2hp is no problem with this size. After this session we had a nice lunch. When we finished the wind picked up to 25kts and my dad and I decided to take our motorscooter and go to La Boca for some flatwater training. After all the chop at Bozo this was a really good choice. When we arrived the wind blew perfect for my 7. I could do some nice and high kiteloops and also some tricks I haven’t done for long time. It felt good to ride in these conditions and I was super happy after my sessions.
Lets see what tomorrow will bring… So stay tuned!!

Our second day here in Cabarete brought us a lot of of wind! It picked up around 1 o’clock and got pretty strong. I pumped up the 9m and went out for my first session of the day. In the beginning it was choppy and crowded but it got better later the day.
At the second session my father took some pictures which you can find in my gallery. I get more and more used to my new gear and the tricks felt better and better.
Today some riders arrived here in Cabarete and it was cool to be on the water with them. It’s always super-motivating to ride with the best riders of the world.
I will keep you updated about what’s going on here - so stay tuned

Today was the first day for us here in Cabarete.
We woke up really early this morning because of the timeshift. It takes time to get used to these 6 hours…
After putting all the stuff together we got some breakfast and then we looked for the wind. It seemed gusty but windy and so we decided to go for a session.
I pumped up my Prima Donna 2 in 9sqm and went out for two hours. I had a lot of fun altough the wind was bit gusty and turning the direction all the time. I could stick some nice tricks. I also have been the first time out on my new harness, the Mystic Firestarter. It felt perfekt and its fitting awsome. Thanks to Move - Surfstore for that stuff!!
Later that day I had a second session and we took some pictures on the beach. You can see them in the gallery.
Now I’m relaxing the rest of the day and wait for tomorrow for the next sessions.

Today my father and I arrived in the Dominican Republic.
After a long trip from Munich to Puerto Plata we were happy to get out of the plane late in the afternoon. It was sooo closly… I could hardly move.
We are staying here in Cabarete at the Viva Wyndham Tangerine in the Bozo bay. This hotel is directly on the beach and close to the worldcupspot. Its a huge complex with 3 restaurants, 2 Bars and the best: all inclusive!!
At the arrival it was little bit raining here and not so much wind. I hope that here it’s windy tomorrow. The forecast looks promising. I’ m looking foreward to get more used to my new gear.
I’ ll keep you updated about what’s going on here. Perhaps we can also take some pictures too. So stay tuned!!
Cheers

It’s a hard life in Austria with all its mountains! Either it’s warm with no wind or it’s cold and windy. But it’s May and because of this fact weather can change every day. We had a nice, windy and warm weekend but today it was really cold. Under 10 degrees C and rainy but the wind was fine with 18 to 25 knots. A good day for training in difficult conditions!

Yesterday I got home from my trip to Venezuela. The flight was really bad because something with the aircondition went wrong and the plane was heated the whole flight.
Now I’ m happy to be at home again to see my girlfriend, my familiy, my friends and so on. The windforcast looks good and so I can continue my training for the next tourstop and for the 1st stop of the Austrian championchip at lake Traunsee.
I’ ll keep you updated about news.

So first I have to say sorry for not updating my site so long but the internet here on Coche is a desaster!
Two days ago the competition startet here on Coche Island. After the drawing I noticed that I had no opponent in the first round. Because of my good seeding and that only 27 registred competitors I had a freerun. In round two I had to go against Mike Blomval who had an awsome first heat. I took the wrong kite and was underpowerd the whole heat. I couldn’t even get upwind. So it came like it had to come and I lost. I was pretty pissed but I still had the doubleelemination.
After the single we moved to El Yaque on Isla Magaritha for the doubles. The ridersmeeting was set for today 10 o’ clock and a first possible start at 11. The wind was too gusty and light at this time so we waitet till half past 12 for the first heat. The wind was still light and everybody was underpowerd. My first heat was against Marcek Kozerski from Poland. I was so under on my 12 so it was hard to show some tricks. I managed to do some good stuff and could win. My next opponent was a Russian guy who did nice tricks but I could also win this one. In my third heat i was up against Tom Court. We did both pretty good and had a good heat. It was a really close desicion but I lost.
At the end I got 9th here in Venezuela. I’ m happy with that but now I will train hard to make it better next time.
I’ ll keep you updated if there are some news.
Cheers Mike
