The Event here on the Spanish island is over and its time to make a review. In the singleelemination everything went pretty good for me and I had a good feeling about my tricks. I could win my first two heats against Peter Tyskevich and Alberto Rondina and lost in the third round in a close 2:3 decision against Aaron Haldow. After the single we started with the double and I had to go against Alberto again. I had a good warm up and I have been super motivated to get the 7th place. Right in front of our heat Alberto and I tangled our kites and we had to swim for 5 minutes till a jetski picked us out of the water. The guy who rescued my kite forgot to close the valves and so I got a lot of water in the tubes. After sorting out everything we started the heat and in the first trick I noticed that my kite was moving to the right side on its own. I had no controll over my kite and I crashed a lot in the Heat. So obviusly I lost that one and had to pack my stuff.

Now I have one more day here on Fuerte and tomorrow I fly to Hamburg to meet my girlfriend there and then we drive to St. Peter Ording where the next Tourstop will happen. I hope that the luck is on my side there.

After an exciting week here in Tarifa, the KPWT worldcup-tourstop ended with a great final day. In the singleelemination I could only make place 17 so I had to preform very well in the doubles to get to the pricemoney. After some awesome heats I finally made it to place 4!!! I’m pretty stoked at the moment.

The competition had a really good organisation and it was a big show on the beach every day. With thousends of spectetors on the beach and epic action on the water. I learned a lot in this few days and i’m happy that I have startet in this competition.

3rd place to Alex Pastor

Tomorrow I am leaving, heading back to Austria…

In the moment the wind in Tarifa is very nice and its perfect for some training. Yesterday I had an awsome session in the lagoon of the Rio Jara. This lagoon works only a few days in the month and its not 100% legal to kite there… But some locals told me that after 7pm nobody will arrest you…

I kited till 10pm and my father took some great pictures. You can have a look on them in my gallery.

After one week in Portugal I am now in Tarifa for some training.

The freestyle-event in Alvor was not to succesfull due to bad wind conditions. Most of the time we had too less wind for freestyle. We were sitting bored on the beach and it was impossible to finish the freestyle discipline. On the other side racers had lots of fun and did 10 races or so. Bruno Sroka from France won almost all races…

One day Kevin, Sebastin and I got invited to a wakeboard trip. It was super nice. We had to woke up at 6 and went to the habor. There was a guy from a wakeboardschool who picked us up with his epic wakeboard-boat. We did wakeboarding and wakesurfing for about 4 hours in the impressive scenery of the Algarve… It was great fun. After my training on Rhodes for one week I’m back in Austria. The week was just wonderfull and I had a really good time in Fanes. We had every day wind, the trainingconditions have been amasing and the people there have been so nice, friendly and helpfull. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed this week and we will come back for sure…

A big thanks goes to Roland and Thalia from Meltemi- Kiteboarding center. They helped me all the time with taking pictures from me or giving my girlfriend tipps how to make her kiting better. They are doing a great job in Fanes and I wish them all the best with their kitecenter.

In the moment I am on the island of Rhodos in Greece for some training and to teach my girlfriend how to kite.

We are staying at the hotel Delfini in Fanes and I just love this place. Everything is so familiar and the people here are super friendly. The guys from the kitestation here are helping me out all the time and they are extremly motivated as they started their business here one month ago.

We are here for 4 days allready and we have been on the water everyday. The first two days I was out on my 13 and the last two on 9 and 11. Its so good for training here. The wind is very constant, the water is warm and the waves are good kickers from the left. My girlfriend also enjoys the spot a lot. She is allready going upwind and tomorrow I teach her how to jump. She is using the new JN Mr. Fantastic which makes things a lot easier…

Actaually it’s very windy here at my homespot Podersdorf/Lake Neusiedlersee. Nearly everyday we have fine conditions here for kites between 7 and 13! Perfect for testing new JN-stuff and training. Some pics you’ll find in gallery.

Unfortunately because of the economic crisis and troubles between IKA, PKRA and KPWT nobody actually knows what future will bring. I even do not know what be my next event because nothing is confirmed. That’s a pitty and sometimes is difficult to focus my targets but I’ll give my best and hopefully during next weeks everything is fixed and on shedule…

Actualy we have a lot of wind on our lake and take the opportunity to make final tests for Circus - a new JN-Board in 136 an 133cm.

It’s has a woodcore and performs really fine. Next week it’s released for production.First pics of this board you’ll find in my gallery

Yesterday I have been at the “Night of Sport”.

I’ve been nominated for the titel “Sportsman of the Year” in my federal state Burgenland. Just to be nominated is an great honor for me and the sport kitesurfing itself.

Unfortunatly another guy, who’s damn good at playing golf won the trophy. Congratulations to him!

But still I had a nice evening at the ceremony with good food, great entertaiment and met lots of people.

Today I got a nice article in the “Kronenenzeitung” in Austria. Its about the Tourstop in Leucate and the training in Austria…

After being ind France for one week I’m sitting in the car on my way home. In the moment I’m passing Genua in Italie.

The contest was crazy… With very strong and gusty winds, strong rain, 8 degrees and some other things which made kiteing pretty hard.

The single was not to succesfull for me because I struggled a bit with the conditions. I was over on my 7 and got kicked out in the second round by Pete Tyscevich who was riding a 5.5.

In the doubleelemination the wind was still strong with up to 50 knots. I have been able to manage everthing a bit better in my heats and so I could win for example against the number 3 seeded Mike Blomwall. After some good heats I was up against Tom Hebert and I pulled some hard stuff like a double s-bend pass. Not to easy with a 7 totally over. I don’t know why exactly but I lost this heat and got 9th. But I coul’d see some nice tricks from Tom as well.

So i got a 9th place… Not to good but still ok.

Aaron won the competition Youri Zoon got 2nd and Kevin 3rd.
